"Amey, could we grab some coffee together?", Aisha blurted.
'Lord, What have I done? He might just think I'm hitting on him. I mean I don't know if I'm not. Or maybe I'm floored by his charisma and I am actually. I know there is something in him which is really distracting but I shouldn't forget the fact that he's a married man seeking a divorce.'
Nervous as hell, Aisha looked at her feet. She noticed that her red painted toes looked awesome.
"Sure. Lets sit down in the living."
Aisha joined Amey and they discussed their plan for Amey's room. Aisha was surprised to know that Amey and Namishka had choices which were poles apart and yet managed to live 5 years together. Aisha was also amazed to know that Amey had a funny side as well. He was not so abnormal as he comes across to be. Two hours and 5 coffees later, they both loved the output on Aisha's laptop. For the first time Aisha was happy to work for this client. She respected the way Amey interfered in her work only for the better.
Five days later Namishka returned unexpectedly. Amey had bonded really well with the entire team of Livings and Aisha was like a buddy for him. Namishka looked not very happy with the smiles on all faces.
"What is wrong in this house?", she yelled. Pin-drop silence spread everywhere. Pat came the reply from Amey, "Can't you see its you?" "Shut up Amey. I'm really not in a mood to even talk to you."
"Aisha don't forget I've hired you for work. But still if you're interested in easy money, you'll have to wait for another ten days. The day we are officially divorced you're free to show your true colours babes."
"Get the hell out of here darling", Amey said to Namishka and got involved in his magazines. Namishka shrugged and walked off.
Aisha took a sign off from Namishka and the team headed straight for drinks to celebrate.
The next day, as Aisha was busy cleaning the studio, she heard someone calling out for her.
"Aisha are you there?" Aisha walked up to the door to see who it was. Thrilled to see Amey there she didn't move for a whole minute. Amey smiled at her and she smiled back, still lost in that appealing charisma. "I'm heading for a football match. I've two tickets and no company. Mmmm.. How about you coming along?"
Half an hour later they reached the stadium. Aisha had never followed followed football. Somehow she couldn't say no. The match outing turned into a day-off for Aisha. They spent the evening with a casual dinner and later by the river side. March end was becoming at nights. She was happy with the way things were shaping up with Amey.
"Divorced and in love again", Amey said. Aisha looked at him confused. "Aisha I like spending time with you. I wouldn't term it as love but yes there is something which interests me and draws me closer to you every time."
Holding his hand, she looked straight in his eyes and said, "Lets find it out with time. Its only time that can tell us more Amey." "Is it because of my this?", pointing to his leg, Amey said. "Its because I need to know you better."
A month later, on a Sunday, Aisha woke up with the noise of rains. Amey was still asleep. Getting drenched in the April showers, just when she thought no one was looking, she found Amey standing by the balcony adoring her, spell-bounded.
